The Mellotron is an instrument absolutely central to the sound of Rogue Element. These keyboard instruments contain banks of tapes, one per key, with actual samples of sounds on each tape. This means that the Mellotron could emulate many other sounds, including perhaps most famously an 8 voice choir.
Rogue Element have tape frames as used by Black Sabbath, and most importantly Tangerine Dream!
